Then the two turn to the series with the team that traded Lou to the Cardinals as the Redbirds took on Chicago's baby bears in a five game series that wrapped around the Labor Day weekend.  They talk about the resurgence of Harrison Bader, whether Tommy Edman should be playing outfield or third, and what to make of Dylan Carlson.  All this and much more!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  There wasn't a lot of news to be had this week, at least on the field, as the Cardinals had positive cases of COVID-19, cancelling the entire weekend series with the Brewers and putting this week's slate of games in jeopardy as well.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman), neither of which got baseball for their birthday, try to make some sense out of it all.  What do we know and why are things so confusing?  Should we as fans be trying to figure out where the whole thing started?  Could the team have done more to keep the virus out?  All that and plenty more in this week's installment!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  The 2020 season is now off and running and Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) are here to talk about it.  It was just the Pirates, but the Cardinals looked sharp this weekend for the most part.  How much is real?  Can the offense keep it up?  Will Dakota Hudson really be the weak link in the rotation?  And, with significant cases springing up for the Reds and the Marlins, how likely is it that the coronavirus will still have a say in this season?
