Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  A week out from that important press conference, it was a little quieter for the Cards.  That doesn't mean Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) don't have things to talk about.  The Cards have cut ties with hitting coach Turner Ward.  What are the ramifications of that?  How much was he to blame?  There was also news on the broadcast front, with the potential of Diamond Sports dropping the team.  Will it happen?  Should it?  It's a nice calm show after last week's chaos, so check it out!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  At least Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) don't have to try to talk about the White Sox every week, so there are silver linings to everything.  After marveling at those 120 losses, the guys get into what's going on with the Cardinals and what needs to change for next year.  Does falling short of 3 million fans ring alarm bells?  Do the words of Willson Contreras carry any weight?  If the Cardinals were going to spend money, would we trust them to do it right?  All this plus instant reaction to the firing of David Bell!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  After a disappointing weekend in Canada, the Cards sit a game under .500 with just two weeks left to salvage something from 2024.  Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) think the team can win some games but the real work seems to need to come from a front office that increasingly feels like they are throwing things at the wall.  The discussion frames around center field, though other examples are in there as well.  Should the club be playing the kids already?  What needs to be the focus for a front office that might not be here in 2025?  Can anything be done about hitting with runners in scoring position?  A free-wheeling chat that you are invited to join!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  With David (@iPopEditor) still on the IL, Daniel (@C70) goes to the bench to bring in legendary pinch-hitter Alex Crisafulli (@alexcards79) to talk about a good week of Cardinal baseball that probably means nothing in the grand scheme of things.  What can we see in the last month that will make a difference for 2025?  How smart can two guys that haven't seen a game in a while sound?  Are the Cubs destined to rule the world (or at least the NL Central)?  And we remember a former Cardinal as only a couple of '80s kids can.

GTBH 7/28/24: Skidding Toward The Deadline Wall

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  As of recording, the trade deadline is less than 48 hours away and it's still not clear what the Cardinals will do.  They plan to be buyers but Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) question if that is the right move for a team that feels like it's going to bob around .500 the rest of the way.  The club sent Giovanny Gallegos packing, but was it for performance or was it a salary issue and if it's the latter, well, what in the world is going on here?

The guys also talk about potential trade pieces from the Cardinals as well as try to make sense of Sonny Gray's recent struggles.  All this and the tightrope walking David does trying to stay cogent while on medication!
