Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It was an emotional end to the finale of the home schedule for the Cards as three icons of the organization left the field, at least two for the final time in a regular season.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) try to put into words what it means to see this era of Cardinal baseball come to a close.  How can you describe what Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina have meant?  How can you talk about the emotions of the ceremonies and everything that surrounded it?  Daniel and Tara try, plus touch on a few of the more prosaic issues facing St. Louis.  Come in and honor the legends one more time!

GTBH 9/25/22: The Legend of Albert

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  A huge bit of history was made this week and, as they have often this season, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) get to wax rhapsodic about the man, the myth, the legend that is Albert Pujols.  How crazy is it to see someone that will be spoken about as reverently as Ruth and Aaron in the coming decades?  How amazing is this final run in Cardinal red?  Just how terrible must Anaheim have been for the guy?

Unfortunately, not everything was coming up roses this week--in fact, little else did.  Daniel and Tara talk about their concerns with Adam Wainwright, Jordan Montgomery, and Paul Goldschmidt.  Come and see if you share them!

GTBH 9/18/22: Playing to Their Level

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  Sure, Albert Pujols hit another home run and Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina made history, but it still was a bit of a quiet week for the Cards.  Are they just playing down to the level of their competition and can they step it up against the playoff teams that are next up?  Should Albert be playing every day and what are the odds he hits a milestone homer when everyone in St. Louis is in bed?  How surprising is it the legends are ending on a high note after the start of the season?  Plus the Cubs are eliminated from playoff contention, so it's a good day!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis about the St. Louis Cardinals.  This was a week of history, with Albert Pujols moving to fourth all time in the home run list and Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina tying to record of starts by a battery.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Bat, @tarawellman) try to put into words the amazingness that is these players and the wonder of watching them on a regular basis.  They also touch on some of the issues of the week and wonder if fatigue could be an issue going forward.  Come in and revel in the history!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  This week, Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) and Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) weave around the action on the field as the Cardinals finish their series against the Braves, commenting on what is happening while also talking about whether Yadier Molina should be the main catcher in the postseason, what's going on with Dylan Carlson, whether COVID had anything to do with Genesis Cabrera, and Oli Marmol's managing style.  It runs a bit long but it ends in a Cardinal win, so you have to like that!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  Sunday brought yet another memorable moment to the career of Albert Pujols and Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) give his majesty his due, talking about 700, the emotion that Albert is playing with, and how clutch never goes out of style.  Then they move to the rest of the lineup (will Sunday spark Dylan Carlson and Tyler O'Neill), the rotation (how good does it look with the new additions) and the bullpen (is anyone but Ryan Helsley truly trustworthy)?  So much to talk about this week!
