Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  After another week of mediocre play culminating in a sweep in Pittsburgh, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) ask the question: is this really what this team is?  Where's the hope that things will turn around? Is there any part of this team that is actually clicking?  There's a lot of ranting in this one but there's also a couple of positive stories at the end so it's not all terrible!

GTBH 5/21/23: Exceeding Expectations

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  After hoping for a 4-3 week, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) were pleasantly surprised when the Cards went 5-2 against Milwaukee and the Dodgers, moving out of last place and filling in some of that hole that they dug.  Are they for real, though?  Can the offense make up for a less-than-stellar pitching staff?  Is Paul DeJong going to be able to continue this and what does this mean for his options this winter?  All of this and a lot more about a great week of Cardinal baseball!

GTBH 5/14/23: Winning Cardinal Baseball!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It was the best week of the Cardinals' season, as they piled up over 30% of their 2023 wins in the six game span since the last show.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) rejoice over the return to form by the club and talk about some of the reasons things are trending upward.  Not everything is fixed, though, and they discuss some of the problems as well.  Plus is Willson Contreras returning behind the plate because he's figured everything out or because no one puts Nolan Gorman in a corner?

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It was another dystopian week for the Cards, broken up only by a win on Sunday.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) talk about the struggles on the field but spend much of the time debating the merits and flaws of the Cardinals current plan to take catcher Willson Contreras and make him....not catch.  Is this the kind of drastic move this team needs?  Does it ruin the tenuous relationship the club has with a guy that was supposed to be a core piece?  Should the pitching staff take more responsibility?  All that and more about a very miserable week, so if that doesn't get you to tune in, I don't know what will.

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It's a little bit different listen this week as Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) honor the life and career of Mike Shannon, who passed away late Saturday night.  The guys talk about Shannon's enduring legacy and various clips of his work are scattered throughout the show.  They can't look back forever, though, and they tackle the terrible week and month of Cardinal baseball and search for some answers.  Will a shakeup come on the off day?  Was demoting Jordan Walker the right move?  Has Jordan Hicks figured it out?  Can anyone else pitch like Jordan Montgomery?  All this and discussions about people not named Jordan in this special episode!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  We keep thinking that the Cards will turn a corner and, week after week, we find ourselves disappointed.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) look at all the problems that the club is having and try to see if things are actually improving.  Jack Flaherty made a quality start on Sunday, only the third of the season for a Redbird starter.  How can the rotation be improved?  Can the offense start clicking?  And how bad would this team be without Nolan Gorman?  And is that actually Paul DeJong?  All this and more!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  With the Cards' win on Sunday, they had a week that was over .500.  So why are Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) still grumbling?  Maybe it's the fact that a team supposedly a serious playoff threat struggled against Colorado and Pittsburgh.  What does the team do with Jordan Hicks?  Is Willson Contreras coming around?  Should the lineup be shuffled?  Do we accept any middling success from a starting pitcher as a great thing?  So much to talk about so come along and listen!

GTBH 4/8/23: Take Two Jordans and Call Me in the Morning

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  After a miserable week of games and off-field drama, the Cardinals got back on track Saturday night.  Seven strong innings from Jordan Montgomery brought Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and David (@iPopEditor) back from the brink a little bit.  The guys talk about the week that was anyway, though, and express their concerns about Jordan Hicks while appreciating what Jordan Walker has done so far.  Just call us the Israelites because we're all about the Jordan!  (There are other players not named Jordan also mentioned in this episode.)
