GTBH 5/19/24: Two Out of Three Ain't Bad, But It's Still Not Good

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Redbirds won both of their series last week, but Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) aren't throwing any parties just yet.  There's still a lot of concerning things with this team even if things are a little more optimistic than they were a week ago.  Is the offense coming around just in time to see the pitching go south?  What should the club do with Matthew Liberatore and the fifth starter spot?  Should Dylan Carlson being playing more or Jordan Walker returned from Memphis?  All of this and these two fashionistas tackle the City Connect jerseys as well!

GTBH 5/12/24: The Worst Week of a Terrible Season

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Redbirds won on Sunday for the first time all season but that's really all the good news Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) have about the last seven days.  The Cards dropped all their games with only a rainout sparing them from a complete set.  They lost their catcher and main offensive weapon when Willson Contreras's arm got in the way of J.D. Martinez's bat.  The offense didn't pick up the slack, either.  There are a lot of issues with this team and the guys pick through most of them.

GTBH 5/5/24: Really? Losing to the White Sox?

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It was a pretty miserable week for the Cardinals, dropping series to the Tigers and the worst team in baseball coming into this series.  What's a team to do?  Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) don't really have any solutions, but they definitely can point to some problems.  What will it take to get some offense around here?

GTBH 4/28/24: This Week Was Not Offensive

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Cardinals won both series they played this week and were one strike away from getting a sweep at CitiField.  That doesn't mean everything is sunshine and roses for Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor).  There's no doubt that the bullpen has been remarkable and the starting pitching more stout than expected, but where are the bats?  Why can't they seem to find a groove?  We know where Jordan Walker is--at Memphis, trying to find his stroke.  Was that the right move?  All this and much more!

GTBH 4/21/24: The Kyle Gibson Episode

Two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis about the St. Louis Cardinals.  Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) have real concerns about the offense of the Cardinals and how things are trending in a very similar direction as last year.  There's no solutions here, but before we get to the concerns and complaints, David had a chance to interview Kyle Gibson (@kgib44) earlier this week.  So listen to that and then maybe stick around for two grumps.  We also had some recording glitches, so we like the Cardinals also had trouble making contact.

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  A downer of a series in Arizona puts the Cardinals exactly where they were at this point last season, something that does not inspire Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) with confidence.  Can this offense get clicking?  What's up with all the Masyn Winn rest days?  Are all of Oli Marmol's moves doomed?  At least the guys end on a Sonny note, talking about the return of the staff ace.

GTBH 4/7/24: A Much Better Week

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  Even though they lost Sunday's game against the Marlins, there's plenty in the last week that encourages Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor).  Things haven't clicked on all cylinders but people like Sonny Gray and Lars Nootbaar should be returning soon.  How does the roster look then?  Do the Cardinals have one of those "good problem to have" at catcher?  What's up with Nolan Arenado?  All this and much more!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and information you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It's St. Patrick's Day and the Cardinals could use a little luck of the Irish to keep everyone in one piece.  Keynan Middleton went down this week, a troubling injury in an area where the Cards actually have some depth.  Oli Marmol found a pot of gold mid-week as the Cardinals extended him for two years.  Is this really a big deal and does it change much of anything?  And do spring training stats start counting now that there are just 10 days left?  Daniel (@C70) and David (@iPopEditor) are wearing the green and talking the red!
