Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  With Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) out of pocket, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) brings in Mason (@MastheAce25) to talk about the opening weekend of Cardinal baseball.  Opening Day was spectacular and the guys talk about all the excitement around that before digging into the issues with the rest of the weekend, most notably the pitching.  Can the Cardinals slug their way to success if the arms aren't there?

GTBH 3/13/21: Let There Be Baseball

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  It truly is every week now as Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) come to you for the second week in a row, this time to discuss the news of baseball's return.  Was it a surprise that the CBA got signed and with little cost in games?  How hard is it going to be to see familiar faces in new places, now that Carlos Martinez will be a Giant and Matt Carpenter will be, well, somewhere?  The Cardinals weren't quiet this week, bringing in two pitchers, and the two talk about them as well as the use of the DH spot.  Baseball, folks, baseball!

GTBH 3/6/22: Will There Be a Season?

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis about the St. Louis Cardinals.  Well, every week that makes sense to record and there hasn't been a lot of those recently.  With the cancellation of major league games, though, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) get back in studio to talk about all the problems among baseball's leadership.  Do the owners really want to have a season?  Are the players giving too much away?  Will people come back when baseball does?  All this and some minor league talk as well!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  OK, so it's occasionally every three months.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) dust off the microphones and get to talking about the little baseball news that there is.  Of course, most of that is the lockout and the two spend some time talking about how that's going, when it will end, etc.  They wrap it up with the big news of the day, though, which was, of course, canine-related!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  There have been weeks with big news but few that were bigger and more shocking than this week, when the Cardinals fired manager Mike Shildt after he led the team to the playoffs yet again.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) try to get their arms around what just happened.  Is this a schism in the making?  What in the world could have caused the Cards to let a keeper of the Cardinal flame go without even a "thanks for the memories"?  Who should be the next top man?  Plus they briefly touch on a couple of breaking MLB stories as well.  Come give it a listen!

GTBH 10/3/21: Not Everything Is Ending

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  The final game of the regular season invites reflection on the past, something Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) are more than willing to do.  The winning streak is history, but does that bode ill for the playoffs?  Mike Shannon finished 50 years in the booth while Matt Carpenter finished a decade in uniform.  Daniel and Tara talk about both of them and also about that little thing coming up in LA later this week!

Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  From a game out last week to three games up this week, the Cardinals have had a wonderful week for their postseason aspirations.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) talk about the excitement and energy around the team now that they've had back-to-back sweeps against two other teams vying for that same second wild card spot.  Tyler O'Neill hit two dramatic bombs this week--how great has he been this year and what does that mean for his future with the Cards?  The bullpen has been bending if not breaking.  Is usage catching up to players like T.J. McFarland?  Mike Shildt has been using Alex Reyes in various spots--is this creativity or something more Alex-centric?  All this and so much more!
